Knowledge, devotion, service. Al-Maqasid is a Muslim seminary in Macungie, Pennsylvania, dedicated to facilitating the realization of Islam, Iman and Ihsan through immersion in the prophetic inheritance: a three-year full-time seminary, a madrasa for children, an academy for grades 7–12, weekend and summer retreats and outreach seminars.
A three-year full-time, in-person program on the three pillars of knowledge, devotion and service. Year 1 establishes the foundations of the dīn and Arabic literacy; Year 2 moves into classical text-based study in the Shāfiʿī or Ḥanafī school with tajwīd and a first khuṭba; Year 3 advances into classical Arabic texts across the sciences with hands-on community service training. Classes Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm on campus. Tuition $8,500/year plus lodging; enrollment January 10 to March 31.
Program pageRighteous Upbringing: an in-person madrasa for children aged 6–11 at the Al-Maqasid Ribat. Quran (Qāʿida Nūrāniyya, tajwīd, memorization), ʿaqīda (ʿAqīdat al-ʿAwāmm, Mashrab al-Ahnāʾ), fiqh, hadith (Mukhtār al-Aḥādīth), duʿās, virtues and stories. $125/month per student.
Program pageA full-time blended-learning school for grades 7–12 in the Lehigh Valley, powered by Sanad Prep: standard sciences through the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School with on-site learning coaches, and a sacred sciences curriculum (hadith, ʿaqīda, fiqh, taṣawwuf, sīra, shamāʾil and Quran) based on the curriculum of Dar al-Mustafa. Monday to Thursday 8:30am–3:30pm, Friday to noon; first day 26 August 2026.
Program pageAn ongoing series studying one book of Imam al-Ghazālī's Iḥyāʾ ʿUlūm al-Dīn per retreat at Al-Maqasid, Friday evening to Sunday 4pm, with Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, Ustadh Amjad Tarsin and Sayyid Abdal Fattah Ba Alawi. In person ($140 general, $110 student) or free online.
